Family Church
Due to marriage retreat this weekend, our church changed it's normal service schedule to one 2pm service. It's nice to sleep in and when we have choir, I usually will just attend the afternoon service. But since there was no choir, I decided Charity and I would attend Asian service with Dave this morning, since that service time doesn't change due to their work schedules.
As we were getting ready this morning, Charity pointed out, "Oh, it's nice. We're going to church as a family."
Had such mixed feelings about this. I usually leave early for choir and Dave leaves following me and picks people up, all good things. Charity usually rides with Gramma. We get there at different times, for different things. Once service is dismissed, Charity and I head home with Gramma, waiting well into the afternoon for Dave to get home. It's not bad.
Just enjoyed the nice change today . . . as a family!

Fun and Fall just go together!
So on this chilly, willy Saturday we headed to Eagleville, TN to Lucky Ladd Farms. Though it was cold, we survived and had a fun day. Even finding a new little deli chain on the way home. Lenny's. Was pretty yummy, little pricey. Home in time to relax and enjoy some movies. Ahhhh, weekends rock!
Charity patiently waiting to get to the farm . . . sort of!

The corn maze was very, VERY muddy. Charity lost her shoe more than once. So I ended up carrying her shoes and Daddy got her. :)

Getting to know me . . .
They made us do this little questionnaire at work today. I figured since I never blog anymore, I add it here, too.
Getting to Know A Nashville Agent
1. Where was your birthplace?
~ Foxboro, MA GO PATS!!
2. Give a description of your first job?
~ A cashier at one of the more popular fast-food chain, taking orders, wiping trays, and cleaning the lobby countless times a day. Yeah, that didn’t last long. I started dating my manager and he fired me. But it was all good, we later married and now he’s doing all the “order-taking, tray-wiping and lobby-cleaning! Ha! :P
3. What was your most recent job before TALX?
~ A concierge/personal assistant for various rich people of Nashville. A typical day would include hanging expensive art while Kyle Petty lies on his sofa singing country songs at the top of his lungs. Very interesting!!
4. What hobbies/activities do you enjoy in your free time?
~ Can someone tell me what free time is?!?! This is what I do in my free time . . . WORK. My first job is Mommy, so I opt to work in my “free time” so my daughter can go to private school . . . she better thank me one day!! But when I don’t feel like sleeping at night, I love to blog and scrapblog.
5. What is your favorite vacation place?
~ Maine, not only is it THE Vacationland, but its where a lot of my family is.
6. Name one thing about you that most people would not know?
~ I grew up in Maine without indoor plumbing for a few early years of my life. Believe it or not, I know how to rough it.
~ I never, ever drive on the interstate anywhere. It scares me.
7. What is your favorite restaurant?
~ Sweet Tomatoes and Jason’s Deli. I ♥ salads!
8. What is your favorite queue and why? Be creative. <work thing>
~ What is a queue? ;-)
9. Do you have any kids or pets?
~ A 6 year-old daughter, Charity Lynn, who has a hermit crab named Ethel. She’s da’ bomb, Charity not the crab. The crab’s just dumb and the only pet her OCD parents would let her have.
10. Do you have any nicknames?
~ Not a nickname, per se, but AKA: Mommy.

Quite A Catch
Dave and Charity went fishing today, didn't have much luck getting any fish, but found a very large live clam on a nearby rock. And so it came home . . . not sure the smartest of ideas. But it's Charity new pet for the meantime and then it will be her next craft project. She can't wait to paint the shells.

Help Yourself

Guess I was taking too long to get downstairs and get Charity the bowl of ice cream she requested for dessert this evening. So she took it upon herself to get it. She amazed me! Not that I didn't think she could do it, she just never has. Got the bowl, spoon, scoop and ice cream. Even putting the ice cream away and rinsing off the scoop! Yep, even today we're still celebrating first. It's so nice how big and independent she's getting, but at the same time growing up soooo fast. You could say it's a mixed bowl of emotions for me as she gets her own bowl of ice cream.

Lost Friends
I miss my blog soooo much. I can barely visit http://www.3cookies.blogspot.com/ without nearly crying. :'( Life is just so busy. Work takes up too much time. And the few hours I'm at home don't allow for much beside housework and sleeping. Add extra-curricular activities, like church and school functions and you end up with 3 posts a month. Pathetic!
I just had to stop by and gripe. That's why it's probably best I stay away.
This week offers no exception. Very busy. Lots of cleaning and errands getting ready for Grumpy and Meme's visit this weekend. Should be fun! And then next week's Fall Break. Yay! It will be nice to have a break from the school routine. And Dave has Monday and Tuesday off. Wish I did, too. Oh well.
To bed for now. See you in November! :(
