The Garment of Praise

I love my choir robe!!

That's what I've decided today after trying way too hard to find something to wear to church this morning. Every women knows what I'm talking about . . . I hope? I had something all picked out last night, ready to go, but of course that didn't work. Fourteen outfits later (well that's what it felt like!), I was too late to go to 8:45 am choir practice which just added to my stress, because I hate to miss choir for no good reason.

Got to church and bumped into Sis. Twila first thing, who so kindly forgave my absence and asked me to join in singing with the choir. (She's the best about these things, I might add!!) Luckily for me, I had been listening to the MP3!

And all my "wardrobe" trials melted when I put my choir robe on! And that wasn't all . . . life's problems and the stresses of my morning quickly faded as I robed myself with the Garment of Praise in exchange for that uncomfortable spirit of heaviness!!

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
Isaiah 61:3
