Some people like to post interesting quotes in their blogs. And I too enjoy the bite-size portions of wisdom. However, today Ms. Charity said something that was a highlight of my day. It nearly cracked me up, except it was one of those times when I wasn't supposed to laugh!!
She had been playing "store" with Gramma in her place room. Gramma, mistakenly thinking they were done with that game, swept all the toys in the store back into the storage basket where they belong. Charity got very upset and informed Gramma that she wasn't supposed to pick up the store. As they began to set the store back up, Charity's behavior was turning sour and Gramma had to retreat back to her quarters to relieve herself of "Ms. Attitude". I remained in the playroom as Charity placed all the toy figurines on the bench where they had previously been position. I guess things weren't going too smoothly for her because she said to me, "I'm picking up these toys, throwing them all away and when I get married, I'm moving out!!"
I just had to walk away!! :p Every time we discuss her getting married, she always promises us that she's not going to move away.
I couldn't believe she put that together. The fact she was mad and frustrated with her toys and me for wanting her to pick them up! I was laughing but inside, I was bawling my eyes out! She's learned how to mean and hateful! Who taught her this? Where did it come from?
Oh, the sinful nature we're born with . . . thus the fun of being a parent!!
