A Lesson on Patience by Prada

While I'm over here moping about my life and how horrible school is, look what came today!!! 👛 And God reminded me, yes, Jesus can use a #Prada bag!, that you appreciate things even more the harder you have to work for them. I've lost count of the years I've been in school working on my degree, but when I'm done I'm sure I'll feel pretty accomplished. Much like today when after all the pennies I've been tucking away resulted in this special treat! #goodthingscometothosewhowait

My 2011 *dream* Easter Dress

Yes, if I could justify spending $400 on an Easter Dress, this would SO be my dress this Easter. It makes me so happy. :) Rainbows rock.

One of Each, Please

I have to admit I love to shop, but even with my passion, there are few stores were I like every single item. However L.L. Bean Signature breaks that rule. I don't know if there's anything in the catalog I wouldn't wear in the woman's department?!?! I LOVE IT ALL!! I guess it's my Maine roots, but I have always loved and appreciated L.L. Bean quality. And the Signature collection is even more vogue. The prices reflex the quality, so they’re high.

Here’s the first thing I’m savings my pennies for. So nautical, so perfect! Love!!!

Charity's New T

Today was 1/2 [price] day at Goodwill. Among a bunch of other fabulous deals, I got Charity this pink t-shirt. I asked her to read it.

Charity: "I la-l-o-o-v-e sh-o-p-p-ing. I love shopping."

Me: "Right! Isn't it awesome?

Charity: "Well, I don't like shopping, but it's a cute shirt."

I love her!! :)

A Night on Broadway

I'm so excited . . . heading to Legally Blonde "The Musical" at TPAC with 3 of the girls from work. Should be fun! The Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner . . . like I need that, but yummy! Especially with a pizza party tomorrow at work. It's been a bad week for eating good. Starting back next Monday . . . uuuuugggg!

LV Freak!

My co-worked spotted this LV ride on the way to work this morning (and risked her life to catch up with it and get a picture for me)! She's sweet! She said it was quite the set of wheels with much additional bling on the interior. It cracks me up!! I thought I was an LV freak, but this may be a little much . . .

Thanks Megan for the picture!

New Kix

Today I received from Zappos.com what I hope to be the most comfy sneakers I've ever slipped my feet in, as these are officially my "New York" kix. Not a sneaker-wearer, I've been diligently shopping and researching for the perfect footwear for all the walking I'll be doing during my 3 days in the Big Apple. And I'm hoping I'll get some more use out of these Onitsuka Tigers. I also appreciate their retro-ness. The first athletic shoes with famed signature 'tiger stripes' debuted in 1966 and were worn by athletes competing in the 1968 Mexico Olympic Games. Just think that's kinda' neat. So I'll be testing them out over the next few weeks and hoping they do the trick, just like in 1968.

Vacation Attire - Sneak Peak!

Charity's special dress I had made for our Disney vacation next month (just a few weeks now) came last week. It looks soooooo cute! I love it! Another great eBaY find! The seamstress that made it felt so bad it took longer than normal, I guess. Time flies for me. Her daughter had a seizure and went into a coma for 3 days. I can't imagine. From what she emailed me, she out of the hospital, but how scary. If you read this, please say a prayer for Luddie's 10 year-old daughter.

It's the 1st Saturday of the Month . . .

and you know what that means? 1/2 price at Goodwill!! And today I am super excited about my finds. 4 red square plates that will work fantabulously for Christmas dinner (as you'll see soon enough),
and the perfect little Cooper Key Red Wool Coat for Charity. Size 7, for next year. It's almost new! And that's not all. A silver platter that will be a centerpiece in the living room . . . eventually; some bulbs, as you can never have too many, and some little play clothes for Charity. Oh, and a Christmas sweater for her to wear today to her 1st ever kid's Christmas party without mom and dad, that's she way too excited about . . . more about that later!

Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

I am soooooo excited!! I found a uniform jumper for Charity today at Goodwill. At Parker, the uniform store, it's at least $40, it was marked at $2.49 at Goodwill, but since today is the 1st Saturday of the month, it was 50% off!! $1.25!! How is that for savings!?!? And it's not even stained or torn!

Charity was just as excited as I was about this finding and can't wait to wear it the first Monday back from Fall Break. And I am happy about the other 10 items I found, eveything (all 11 items) for a little over $18!! Yippeee!

Bliss

Weekly store ads make me happy! It's like window shopping from my sofa! Here's some of my favorite flyer finds today:

I'm lovin' all the PURPLE this season! Purple is my favorite color, always and I love it when it's style! Charity loves it too!

Love the BOWS in this Harajuku ♥ Lovers Fragrance ad!! Definitely have to put this scent on my wish list!
Cool trends this Fall from JC Penney's:

And the equestrian look . . . very fall-ish!

Almost makes me excited about digging out the sweaters and the boots!

Well Clad

Good deals make me giddy! :-D

Went early this morning to the consignment sale at Nashville Christian. Got Charity a school uniform: turtleneck, a long-sleeve polo, a short-sleeve polo, sweater, and a skirt! Also 3 brand-new pairs of white tights and two pairs of funky knee socks!

This is the best part . . . all for the price I paid for the one skirt new! Yippee!!

Kohl's is coming to Bellevue!

This made my whole morning, day, week, life!! When Charity brought The Westview Paper up to me from Gramma, I was soooooo excited!! I will enjoy the new library, but it pales in comparison to Kohl's! It's one of my very favorites! And Meme just asked if we had one! Maybe we can shop there on her next visit!!

(On a unrelated side note, we're all up so early this Sunday morning since Grumpy and Meme are taking off this morning even though their plane isn't out until this afternoon they wanted to go check out somethings. We had a fun visit and we'll sure miss them!)

Bellevue Exchange Club Meeting Hosts Bellevue Library Information Exchange
___________________________________________________________
Monday, September 8, the Bellevue Exchange Club held their meeting and opened it up to the community at large to hear their special guest speaker, Donna Nicely, with the Nashville Library. She was there to talk and answer questions about the new Bellevue Library, which she says will be Nashville’s 6th regional library. This means it will have the same hours and days as the other regional libraries instead of the abbreviated days and hours the Bellevue branch now has. It will also have many new and innovative features.

The new Bellevue Library will be located in the downstairs area of the old Dillard’s building of Bellevue Mall. Kohl’s will be upstairs.

You can see the rest of the article and more Bellevue news by visiting The Westview Online.

I'll be expecting!!

Tuesday Tidbit

I'm in love with this bag by Juicy Couture. So pink, feminine, a strawberry for sweetness and a big, ole bow on the side!! Love it!!
Can't wait until I have a job, so I have a little extra spending cash!! (Wait, let me rephrase that, I can wait until I have a job, but don't like not having the extra spending cash!) One day closer though: tomorrow I'm going on an assignment in Franklin for staffing company. It's pretty far, not much money and only one day, but you never know . . .
