I have an addiction. A vice. A fixation. A tendency or hobby, some might say. Something I cannot stand living without. And it's making me very "evil" not having it. Don't get me wrong, I'm maintaining my Christianity during this tragic time. But life is very difficult without my favorite thing in the whole wide world . . . my laptop.
It seems that these Dell Inspiron 2200 have a little problem with the internal port, that's where you plug your adaptor in. Mine's been a little shady now for awhile, I guess I should have seen it coming. But you could always just jiggle the cord and wa-la! back to charging. Not the case as of Monday. The battery died once and for all and because we had jiggled that poor little adaptor cord so much, she's developed a split. Luckily before all this turmoil on Monday, I ordered a new adaptor on eBaY for about $20. The reason why I waited so long to order a new cord, was due to all the research I was finding said it was internal. And after going to http://www.dell.com/, their adaptor retailed for $50. Too much money for me to blow on a likely experiment. Now we're just hoping and praying that when that new cord gets here, that despite all the research, ours will be miraculously cured. Well, I praying anyway. Dave thinks I waste too much time on the crazy trap anyway. But I think after as sad as I've been without it, he's agreeing we need a working laptop. He's even been entertaining the idea of getting it repaired all together. I just am not liking life without a laptop and can't even fathom this going on for any long period of time.
On a positive note, I read the paper for the first time in forever, since I never have the time anymore since trying to keep up all my web pages. So if you need to know anything, guess I'll know all the going-ons in Nashville this week!!
