Today we remember Uncle Peter. Last month he passed away way too early and too young, the youngest of the 3 Cook boys. Unfortunately this family is no stranger to tragedy, as Uncle Peter and Aunt Carmen lost their teenage daughter, the only Cook girl, Melanie, when she was hit and killed by a drunk driver.
The last few years Aunt Carmen and Uncle Peter have been living in Florida. After their weekly wings dinner and a trip to Home Depot, Uncle Peter complained of chest pain. And that was it. Such a devastating shock.
Today the family gathered in Maine to remember his life, while we, though faraway, remember them in our prayers, specifically Aunt Carmen, their son, Dan, their grandson, Zac and Gramma Cook, who lost her baby boy.

Here's all the Cook boys at our wedding.
From left to right: Eric (Uncle Bill's son), Uncle Bill, Dave, Grampa Cook, Uncle Peter, Steve/Grumpy, and Andrew (Uncle Bill's son) in front. Missing from photo: Dan (Uncle Peter's son).
Go tell your family you love them, because life is so short!
