A Field Trip, a Shopping Trip and a Game!

Wow! We've had a full day! Started out this morning with a school field trip to Honeysuckle Hill Farm in Springfield. I was worried about having to drive, but it all worked out. I was able to ride with 3 other mom's and Emma's mom drove. It's about 45 minutes from Nashville, so I was happy to catch a ride. It was a fun time! Lots of kids everywhere. And we all got a pumpkin! Charity was a little whiny, but I think she stayed up a little too late last night due to church. We survived. And she had tons of fun riding on the bus, her favorite part of the day. Charity had another hour of school, so I came home and did a couple things, then back to pick her up. In preparation for her first game to cheer at tonight, it was the race to get everything we needed and be back at school at 5:15pm. New sneakers, a white turtleneck and some blue bloomer for under her cheering skirt Whoa! At warp speed we visited: Mashall's, Ross, Old Navy, Target, and back to Marshall's to get the sneaker that will have to work. Home at 4:45pm to take a quick bath and just making to the school at 5:15pm. Wow! Charity did so good not acting tired and remaining positive. I was so worried after such a busy day, that she'd start getting scared about cheering. But she didn't have a second to think!

I know she was starving and we fed her a little snack on the way over, but we were so relived when the first (6pm) game was cancelled and they would be cheering at the 7pm. Even though it would push bedtime a little later, it gave us a chance to feed her.

Charity's front in center in these shots!

And a little video . . . for fun! Can you find Charity?

She finally did her "thing". They all were so cute! Burrrr, was it cold! I could tell she was a little scared at times. But she did awesome. She's growing up and getting brave. Before she would have never gone in front of people. I was wondering what she was thinking . . .

Then tonight lying in bed, she had her emotion break down. "I don't want to do cheerleading anymore," she cried, "I don't know what I'm supposed to do." Awwww! She broke my heart. New stuff is scary. But I just encourage her and let her know that all the Kindergartners felt that way. . . and whispered a prayer that if we can just get through tomorrow it will all be good! Got her asleep before 9pm, so I'm praying she wakes up on the right side of the bed and ready to face the world . . . or at least a half day of school and a full day of cheerleading!
