Cherished Moments

I must say even though life's upside-down right now and I'm not 100% sure of the next step, I am completely enjoy being a full-time Mom . . . again.

It was amazing today, Charity stayed with me all day. (She usually jets off down to Gramma's 1st thing in the morning.) We did everything together: washed her bedding, made dinner, lots of playing and we even got a chance to lie down and read some stories before our afternoon siesta. She chose her favorite: A Bad Case of Stripes (we read it at least once a week!) and Let Me Hold You Longer, which is one of those books that tears your heart out, reminding mommies to hold onto those "lasts" as well as the usual "firsts". It was such an appropriate story for me to read and to feel so blessed that I'm able to have some "down time" with Charity before she whisked off to her educational marathon for the next decade and a half.

This is probably my last summer I'll be able to hangout with her all day and go by her schedule. All too soon I know I'll be working 40 hours a week, and though our times together will be good, it's just not the same. So today I sit back, relax and enjoy my cherished moments with Charity!
