I didn't think too much about when Ms. Henderson told me Charity had a little "oopsie" at school on Tuesday. They changed her into her spare set of clothes and all was good. But not so much for Charity. After she has one of these accidents (and it's just pee!!), she doesn't like going to school anymore. I guess I can slightly understand the embarrassment.
She started last night, "I don't want to go to school." The funniest thing: she said, "I feel sick." I'm thinking, "Oh dear, we're starting this at four!!!" I just told her she was fine. But it didn't take me too long to figure out why, since we've already traveled down this road before.
She continued to argue with me all morning. She'd be okay one minute and not the next. We had a very unsuccessful drop-off time at school. Nothing any of us could do would console her, even her little pal, Mary Jean, couldn't help. So I just had to leave. I think Dave heard her protesting scream back at home!!
I'm sure my little bugger will be fine. She says she just doesn't like asking to use the restroom. I remember being that shy, too. We'll get over this hurdle. There's something slightly comforting about going through a trial you've already been through once . . . and that's knowing you'll make it through again!
